Her Majesty Only Wants to Be a Dowager Consort [Qing Transmigration]

Shen Jinlan transmigrates by chance, right into the funeral of the famous Consort Dong'e.

The emperor's longtime favorite consort has died. Though the other concubines weep, they can barely keep the corners of their mouths from turning up.

With Consort Dong'e gone, their chance has finally come.

As one of Emperor Shunzhi's consorts and the most senior of the Five Imperial Consorts, Consort Ke, Shen Jinlan takes the news of her identity in stride. She has no intention of joining the battle for the emperor's favor.

She knows that if she just coasts along for a few more months, the emperor will die and she'll become a retired consort, with her annual stipend doubled.

The emperor will be dead, and she might not even have spent all her money. Isn't that the life Shen Jinlan has always dreamed of?

A few months later, Shen Jinlan wonders: Why hasn't the emperor died yet?
