Cheng Yin is a professional slacker. Her life motto is: Lie flat! Lie flat! And lie flat some more!
Sure, she lives in a high-risk world where terrifying forbidden zones can appear at any moment, and people can turn into monsters or ability users without warning...
But Cheng Yin has absolutely no powers! (Shrugs.jpg) All she wants is to be an insignificant nobody: no overtime, no rat race.
Until a true terror appears right in front of her. Desperate to stay alive, she lets out a scream that shakes the heavens: "Help!"
Want to survive? Sure!
The price: inherit the family's ancestral "shamelessness" curse:
[Daily Mission: Force yourself to say at least three sentences to Bai Erlan, the walking human disaster and living weapon.
Mission Failure: Get electrocuted from head to toe and perform a wild social dance on the spot.]
And so, the forbidden-zone world gained a starstruck (and life-struck) girl:
"Instructor Bai, are you thirsty? Want water? Tea? How about some hand-squeezed lemon drink?" (Clenches fist)
"Captain Bai, need someone to run errands? Carry your bags? Or... do you need me to shut up?" (Wounded)
"Bai Erlan, are we going the same way? Want to... take a walk together? I promise I won't get in the way of your attacks!" (Completely out of things to say, crouches with hands over head)
Bai Erlan, whom everyone considers a "walking forbidden-zone summoner," looks at Cheng Yin, who has somehow coincidentally appeared in front of her yet again. "Show up in my sight again, and next time the monsters feed, you'll be the main course."
Bai "Demon" Erlan became famous at a young age. She reached the peak the moment she awakened, and summoned a forbidden zone on her very first day. Every member of her family by her side perished in battle inside it.
People tremble, afraid she'll blow up the map at any moment, yet depend on the protection of the top-tier ability inside her.
So everyone respects her like a god and fears her like a demon.
Until one day, everyone noticed that some fearless person had appeared at her side, approaching her every day to ask after her and fuss over her.
Everyone: "Look! This person has ulterior motives. She must want to steal her power, cause trouble, or (crossed out) die!"
Cheng Yin (nodding vigorously): "I do have an ulterior motive... I just want perfect attendance so I can stay alive, okay?" (Cries and collapses)
Bai Erlan (frowning as she studies her): This person's ability is strange, and her skin is even thicker. She's also... pretty resistant to electricity?
Later, Bai Erlan discovered that this person who had suddenly appeared in her life...
could neutralize every ability;
was immune to assimilation by the forbidden zones;
and could even break the so-called curse of misfortune hanging over her.
Bai Erlan grabs the slacker by the neck (without squeezing). "Who are you, really?"
Cheng Yin raises a hand with difficulty. "Reporting, Instructor! Your personal perfect-attendance player, here just for you!"
