Belphegor used to love Hell. After Lucifer left, her status as one of the Seven Deadly Sins, Sloth, was enough to let her do as she pleased there.
Besides, back in those days, Hell didn't have those damn KPI evaluations.
That's right, KPI evaluations.
After skipping the year-end review meeting yet again and coming in last in the KPI rankings for who knew how many hundreds of years in a row, her colleagues finally threw her out of Hell, citing “better team management” and “appeasing employee dissatisfaction.”
“Why does Hell accept just anyone?” Belphegor sat in her former boss's bar, wearing her same old look of exhaustion.
“Hell took you in, didn't it? What's so strange about that?”
After failing to get her former boss to take her in, Belphegor decided to head alone to Gotham City, the legendary city of sin.
She was determined to make something of herself there!
“So,” sighed the demon on the video call, decked out in gold accessories, even his horns gleaming brilliantly, “you were planning to get settled and then start working, but somehow you spent two years getting settled, and you still haven't picked a location for your bar. Is that what you're saying?”
Before he could get an answer, he watched one of their colleagues walk up behind her, bare-chested and muscular, and then the call ended.
