Extreme contrast | Two nobodies climb to the summit together
Ren Yi, true to his name, was someone anyone could push around.
When Ren Yi was ten, his biological parents turned against each other.
Faced with the two of them sitting at the table, each trying to get out of taking custody of him, Ren Yi replied nonchalantly, "Whatever you want."
At sixteen, Ren Yi reached number one on both the Chinese and Korean servers at the same time. Just as he was riding high, a championship team signed him with great fanfare.
At the last moment, his parents, who had been missing for over half a year, suddenly showed up to stop him.
Faced with the exorbitant contract held out to him, Ren Yi waved it back. "Sorry, I can't play."
At eighteen, he returned to the arena, only for the team's starting jungler to break his contract at the last minute.
The team descended into chaos. Faced with the manager, who was frantic with worry, Ren Yi yawned. "Fine, I'll jungle."
Two months later, he received his first confession.
"Will you be my boyfriend?"
Ren Yi's current teammate and the season's Best Rookie, Xie Ruxiu, asked sincerely, his earnest puppy eyes full of hope.
"No."
Ren Yi, usually so easy to push around, was completely out of character as he rejected him cleanly and decisively.
"I-is there a reason?"
Xie Ruxiu's eyes immediately drooped in dejection. His black hair hung limply, but he still lingered, unwilling to give up.
"No." Ren Yi turned his back, leaving him with a heartless view of his retreating figure.

Until Xie Ruxiu's nineteenth birthday.
That day, at the party, Xie Ruxiu grabbed a recently opened, very explicit love letter and dragged Ren Yi to a secluded corner of the base.
"What's this?"
Xie Ruxiu's voice was low and husky. His tall frame pinned Ren Yi in place.
He held Ren Yi's wrists firmly. When Ren Yi struggled in vain, he could only let the man read aloud the brazen words inside the envelope.
[So big, I love it.]
[His big hands feel so good. I want him to touch me more.]
[Mmm, it must feel amazing...]
Xie Ruxiu tossed aside the letter. His calloused fingertip slid slowly upward, forcing Ren Yi's chin up.
"You want my body that badly?"
Ren Yi's gaze wandered. The usually lifeless eyes were now tinged with desire.
"...Yeah."

* Set in a fictional MOBA game.
* Title undecided. I can't think of anything better. I might add a little behind-the-scenes match vignette later.
