[Drug Enforcement Officer Resurrected from the Dead x Female Teacher Pretending to Be Devoted]
Mutual pining | Fake replacement romance
Eight years after the man she secretly loved disappeared, she received news of his death.
A terrible fire had burned Fang Mei to ashes. They never even found his body.
After the funeral, He Yi went to the cemetery alone and placed on his tombstone the diary filled with Fang Mei's name.
The dead would never come back, so the living had to keep living.
He Yi signed up to head north and resolutely set off to teach in a remote village. But in that county, she saw a face that looked just like Fang Mei's.
After testing him in every way she could, she finally confirmed it: the dead could not come back to life, so how could he possibly be here?
Perhaps unable to let go of her regrets, that night she drank and resolved that from then on, she would love him the way she had once loved Fang Mei.
She kissed him first that night, on the single bed where Fang Mei had always slept.
But she didn't know that beneath the pillow lay the diary filled with Fang Mei's name.
He loved her every bit as much, but he couldn't let it show.
Theme: Protect everything, and stay true to love.
