Synopsis
“I alone am first beneath heaven.”
Beneath the firmament lay the four lands of Kunji, where sects were everywhere, immortals and demons coexisted, and prosperity had reigned for ten thousand years.
And Jiayu was the foremost among them all.
When she was born, beasts came to pay homage and radiant light descended from the heavens. At eighteen, she had already survived the tribulation and become a revered immortal, ready to ascend and seek the Dao.
With a sect that cherished her and fame and strength across the four lands, Jiayu had enjoyed a life of smooth sailing.
But the moment she entered seclusion to overcome her tribulation and ascend, reality slapped her hard across the face.
Beneath the heavenly thunder, a System spoke in her mind and told her that she was merely a cannon-fodder character in a book.
Her sect was an obstacle to the protagonist's group, and every one of her disciples was a villain destined to turn evil and harm Kunji's cultivators. And her most adorable junior brother was, astonishingly, the book's greatest villain: the Demon Lord who would destroy the Heavenly Dao a hundred years later.
She would eventually die beneath the heavenly thunder, reduced to ashes. Then her sect would be destroyed, her friends and family would perish, and her junior brother would be killed by the protagonist's group.
"Accept your fate. A hundred years from now, you, a mere cannon-fodder character, will be lost in the memories of the past."
Beneath the thunder, Jiayu spat out a mouthful of blood and sneered. “In your dreams.”
She crushed all eighty-one bolts of heavenly thunder, strode across the sky, and stood before her ruined sect. Facing the hypocritical great immortal sects, she began the “Thousand Platforms Slaughter of Immortals,” an event that shook the entire cultivation world.
Her golden core shattered, her spiritual consciousness dispersed, and the System's furious roar filled her mind. She saw her junior brother, battered and wounded, crawling toward her, his face streaked with blood and tears.
“Don't... Senior Sister...”
She soothed him softly. “Be good. You'll look ugly if you cry.”
Later, Jiayu was reborn a hundred years later in the body of a sect-destroying senior sister. As another cannon-fodder character in the book, she would frame the heroine and seduce the hero, only to be killed by the Demon Lord in the end.
A fate just as tragic as her previous one.
The System's voice in her mind was full of indignation:
"Because you changed the established cause-and-effect and ending, the plot of the book has been disrupted."
"You are now ordered to correct the plot."
"Play your role as the senior sister cannon fodder well, and give the hero and heroine a perfect happy ending. The System will consider sparing your sect."
Jiayu looked at her sect, now in ruins, and smiled with carefree delight. “Sure.”
**
Yuan Chan was a demon everyone wanted dead.
No one was willing to adopt the monster who sucked the life force from others. Everyone in town loathed and feared him, and wished he would die at once.
He wanted to die, too.
This world was a burning hell, a land of suffering and evil. Life was nothing but pain and torment; death would put an end to it all.
And he was a demon of hell, condemned to never be reborn.
Until the day his inner demons surged, and he wanted to drain every last person in town of their life force. A small pebble suddenly bounced off his forehead.
He drew back his scarlet eyes, gathered tears in them, and looked toward the person who had arrived.
In the gentle breeze, the fragrance of her hair surrounded him. “Are you Yuan Chan?”
“From now on, you're my junior brother. Got that?”
At first, he wanted to kill this self-important, sharp-tongued senior sister. Later, Yuan Chan wanted to devour her.
To tear her apart, bone by bone, and meld her flesh and blood into the depths of his soul.
That way, Senior Sister would belong to him alone.

Bonus scene
Satisfied, Jiayu followed the System's instructions and offered herself to seduce the hero, leaving him gravely injured after a passionate “caress.” She sauntered back to her room and was just about to shut the door when
Her usually gloomy and cold junior brother pulled her inside. His hard chest pressed against her back, trapping her in the narrow space.
“...You, ”
“Shh.”
In the darkness, Yuan Chan clasped her waist, his scarlet eyes fixed on Jiayu's disheveled collar. “Senior Sister doesn't want me anymore?”
His scorching breath brushed her skin. He stuck out his tongue and licked the annoying blood at her neck, asking in a sickly voice, “I've searched for you for a hundred years. Are you going to abandon me after leading me on, Senior Sister?”
