The medical department aboard the Black Whale was getting a new arrival, a wet-behind-the-ears kid who had only just gotten into university and hadn't attended a single class yet.
When I heard the news, I accidentally smashed a test tube containing medicine. The deputy director caught me after checking the security footage. Not only did I have to pay ten times the cost of the damage, I also had to turn in a 5,000-word self-criticism.
It was all the fault of whoever started that rumor! I gritted my teeth. Everyone knows not to believe or spread rumors. How could Director Cheadle possibly allow this
"Hello, I'm Leorio, the new intern. I haven't received any formal medical training yet, so there are a lot of things I only understand a little. But I'll work hard to learn, and I'm open to any criticism. I hope you'll take good care of me!"
As the man who looked like an uncle introduced himself, I crushed a second test tube. Luckily, it was empty... Just kidding! Director Cheadle flew into a rage. I got a 10,000-word self-criticism on the spot, and had to publicly reflect on my behavior three days later.
Leorio, huh? You'll soon learn how cutthroat the workplace can be! I thought viciously as I furiously scribbled away.
Half a month later.
"What? He's the new Boar Zodiac, and he almost got elected chairman?! I've never heard of him. Is he somebody's relative?" I covered my face and broke down. "And why didn't anyone tell me? I've offended another superior. What if he puts in a bad word with Director Cheadle?!"
My friend shrugged. "Then you just have to whisper sweet nothings in his ear before he gets the chance."
My friend reached out. "Wait, I was joking."
Leorio: My new coworker seems to have a crush on me. Has my spring finally arrived?!
