Reading Guide

A modern alternate setting, with some sections looking back across five thousand years of history. Most of the spirits, magical treasures, and rural legends in the story have some small source in folk tales, legends, or strange-tale collections, but there's no need to match them to anything in particular. There are lots of foreshadowed details, and missing them won't affect your reading.

Note: The female lead has a CP. The two are evenly matched, but belong to different sides and have different perspectives. It won't be too sweet, since they're both thousand-year-old monsters and can't pretend to be sweethearts.
