(Coming soon: My Home Connects to a Haunted Attraction)
Ai Ling transmigrates to a wasteland world teeming with the uncanny, where she becomes a low-ranking cleaner responsible for maintaining the environment.
The bad news: the wasteland is harsh, there are no benefits or housing and meals, and you could easily die on the job.
The good news: she can hear the voices of the wasteland's nonliving things.
While everyone else treads carefully through the wasteland, facing danger at every turn, Ai Ling maintains the environment under the guidance of her clients.
A collapsed wall says, "Young lady, my rheumatism's acting up again. Could you give me a hand?"
Ai Ling moves aside bricks and tiles, uncovering a clean water source thought to be extinct in the wasteland.
"Thanks. One of my distant relatives always has sore feet. Could you help them out? Here's a map."
Following the collapsed wall's directions, Ai Ling enters a region no one has ever explored.
"You're finally here. There's been a box stuck near my foot for ages. Could you get it out for me?"
Ai Ling picks up the box and stares at the lost medicine inside. As she wonders how much it's worth, more requests for help ring in her ears.
"Scratch my itch..."
"Me too..."
Ai Ling only wanted to quietly do her job as a cleaner. Somehow, she ends up bringing the wasteland era to an end, and gains a seemingly harmless human-shaped follower.
Admirer: Apart from the pretty-boy accessory at her side, Ai Ling is an all-knowing god.
Weak and useless human-shaped accessory: I request the right to be a pretty boy.
Ai Ling, expressionless: No. You should acknowledge your status as the boss.
The ruined wasteland surface leads to an abyss where opportunity and danger coexist.
Under uncanny laws, the abyss runs itself, claiming countless lives. Even so, many explorers venture deep inside.
They say anyone who reaches the bottom of the abyss can have all their wishes granted.
The bottom of the abyss is waiting for its first visitor.
Reading Guide:
1. The male lead has a lot of scenes in the main story, and there is a romance. He is nonhuman.
2. This is not a typical wasteland setting, and only borrows some of its elements.
3. It contains Lovecraftian horror. The protagonists and supporting characters are not in a normal state of mind, so enter with caution.
Coming soon: My Home Connects to a Haunted Attraction
"Welcome to the haunted attraction. Please purchase a ticket before entering."
"Licensed attraction employees, please use the staff entrance."
Looking at the long line outside the haunted attraction, Li Yu fell silent.
Were people in this wasteland world really so eager to get themselves killed?
Later, Li Yu understood. Rule-based hauntings were the wasteland world's leading industry.
With human development, rule-based hauntings could be made to produce a steady income.
As long as they wore the right "human skin," ordinary people could safely enter a developed "haunted attraction."
To make money, Li Yu set her sights on rule-based hauntings.
Just when she was worrying about not having enough money for a ticket, Li Yu suddenly discovered that the back door of her home randomly spawned entrances to rule-based hauntings.
When Li Yu sneaked into different haunted attractions through her back door, other people complained:
"Ticket prices have gone up. We'll never make our money back at this rate."
"There are fewer new attractions opening. We can't even switch to another one."
When Li Yu started selling goods outside the haunted attractions, the shopkeepers inside frowned:
"The attractions' warehouses are about to overflow with stock."
"What lunatic is dumping goods outside?"
At first, Li Yu only wanted to make money from haunted attractions.
Later, she discovered that some hauntings had been developed into attractions.
Others, however, had swallowed an entire city.
And the back door of her home seemed to connect to more than just haunted attractions.
Reading Guide:
1. The heroine has a love interest.
2. The world is in the post-wasteland civilization era, entering the age of the haunting industry.
Theme: When you gaze into the abyss, the abyss smiles back at you
Old Swan, I read this book and the writing and subject matter are very attractive. The beginning of the first chapter is also very imaginative, but it talks too much to itself. Obviously the discovery of the heroine can be regarded as a way to express the heroine's character. Now that she is talking to herself, it has become a bit noisy [changed] The senses are not affected even if the soliloquy is deleted [covering face, laughing and crying] The teacher's way of expression can be improved
I can give some suggestions, maybe remove the double quotation marks around the heroine's inner thoughts. Putting double quotation marks on it makes the heroine talk a lot, which makes her look uncomfortable. Removing the double quotation marks and just changing a few words doesn't actually affect anything. You can basically tell that it's her inner thoughts, but it can greatly improve the perception.
"Jiang Yi" gave the author a big worm~
Oh, the power of drawing a big pie
Too much self-talk
Here comes the big new book[666]
The author's themes are very creative
The ending was so inexplicable that it felt like nothing was explained.
""Me, you only know my name..." This is a big bug for the author~ Is this comment intentional or has it been blocked?
"Ai Ling's eyes turned to one side..." This is a big bug for the author~ even
