[Dragon Raja] So You're the One Doing the Anko, Huh?

A short story idea. I'll think about it first; I may not have time to start writing it. "Fate's every turn" is up to the dice goddess. You're the protagonist of an Anko story... provided your dice goddess isn't from the CoC setting. The only skills it triggers are [Idea], [Spot Hidden], [Listen], [Psychology], and [Fighting]. So you go selectively blind, and your ears work only when they feel like it. "Boss, how many fingers is this?" [.ra Spot Hidden] [Spot Hidden 80/75, failure] A flesh-colored mosaic waves in front of you, swaying straight as a torch in Minecraft. "One." "...I didn't hold up any fingers." "Oh." You wave the blurry mosaic away from your eyes. Your unlucky underling nurses his bright red hand, still worrying about your exam tomorrow. "Boss, you have to come to the exam tomorrow!" [.ra Listen] [Listen 94/70, failure] The sound in your ears is like a dud swallowed by water, sinking to the bottom with no further sound. "Huh?" He can barely muster the energy to complain. "...Who was it that heard someone confessing to Senior Brother from a hundred meters away just now?" . [.ra Idea] [Idea 80/65, failure] You stare at the bag of chips on the table for a full minute. On its grain-speckled surface, you sense an indescribable horror. "..." You silently put the chips back, appreciating the charm of the damp southern weather. . [.ra Fighting] [Fighting 96/95, fumble] The little weed in front of you trips you with ease, as if you were nothing more than a speck of dust drifting through its brief grassy life. You get up, dust off your clothes, and continue following the map provided by Eva to find the mission site. But every now and then, the goddess of luck does smile upon you. A huge yellow eye, taller than you, stares down with a light so majestic you can't look directly at it. You stand still, listening to the dice roll. [.ra Fighting] [Fighting 2/95, critical success] You raise your fist. You know full well that you should pick on the weakest target. Theme: Contrast.
