The title and blurb have been revised, but the story itself is unchanged.
A shou reincarnated as a fat cannon-fodder character x a villainous gong who can turn into animals
In the final moments of Bai Wangqiu's life, the next bed over was still playing a trashy novel out loud.
"After his company went bankrupt, Mu Heng struggled to get by, with the people around him avoiding him. The once-adored heir of a wealthy family couldn't bear the sudden fall from grace. Before long, his mind became twisted, and he did something he could never take back: he kidnapped a fat man and slowly carved him to pieces..."
As his consciousness faded, Bai Wangqiu thought: What did fat people ever do to deserve this?!
When he opened his eyes again, Bai Wangqiu had become a very fat man.
He had a healthy body and parents who loved him. He could help his parents cook at their restaurant, coax cats and tease dogs, and enjoy a wonderfully carefree life.
That was until one day, his parents hired a summer worker at the restaurant.
The summer worker was young, with a fresh-faced look. Beneath the fringe covering most of his face was a pair of gloomy eyes, cold and distant.
At their first meeting, the other boy held out his hand. "Hello, my name is Mu Heng."
Bai Wangqiu reached out instinctively to shake it, but when he saw his hand, puffy as a steamed bun, he jolted and backed away several steps.
"...Wait, what did you say your name was?!"
The boy gave him a sinister smile. "Mu Heng."
The villain from the book!
Those two cold syllables fell into Bai Wangqiu's ears. He looked down and pinched the fat on his belly, overwhelmed by despair!
Nobody told him that the fat man he'd become was the one the villain carved to pieces!!

Mu Heng had a secret.
Every night, he randomly turned into a small animal and appeared beside a fat man. That was where his nightmares began.
As a kitten, puppy, or duckling, he would be caught by the fat man. At first, the other boy only plucked his whiskers and tickled his feet. Later, he began pulling out his fur, scalding him with boiling water, and even trying to cut him with a small knife!
Mu Heng couldn't take it anymore: I'll carve you to pieces!
But then one day, the fat man changed completely.
He started feeding the little animals and brushing their fur. He even said he wanted to adopt the versions of Mu Heng that turned into kittens and puppies.
Mu Heng found it strange.
He decided to investigate in person and find out what was wrong with the fat man.
