[Blurb]
Luo Shiyuan is the greatest female assassin in the land, known as someone who can kill gods if they stand in her way, and Buddhas if they stand in her way. She can kill someone silently and without a trace while they sleep, and win a battle from thousands of miles away with careful planning.
But who would have guessed that the greatest female assassin in the land's main job is... food delivery!
·
Thunder rumbles, rain soaks her cloak, and she stands helpless in the downpour, tugging at the hem of the man's robe. "Please save my big sister. Save her!"
She saw the man in a fox-fur cloak push her sister into the lake with his own hands, but she doesn't know his name.
At the time, the man was already one step from death's door. To save him, Luo Shiyuan willingly joined the Five Poisons Sect.
"Xie Zhili," the man says softly.
"The man who hurt your sister is named Xie Zhili."
·
Five years later, Luo Shiyuan has secretly become a renowned assassin in the capital. On the days when she has no jobs, she runs the "Hungry or Not" business and sometimes delivers food herself.
Though her life is quite fulfilling, she has never forgotten that rainy night.
At last, she seizes the chance to deliver food and barges openly into the Chancellor's residence.
The assassin she has already arranged to work with shouts, "Don't come closer! Take another step and I'll slit her throat!"
Xie Zhili watches their performance with an impassive face. "Put down the osmanthus cakes. You can take her."
·
Luo Shiyuan grabs him by the leg. "I see the Chancellor has a big household and a thriving career. Surely sparing me a meal wouldn't be a problem. I would gladly give my all for you, my lord, and brave fire and water without hesitation!"
The guard says, "Not just in the Chancellor's residence. Our lord has never had a woman serving at his side..."
Xie Zhili says, "In that case, from now on, you will stay at my residence and serve by my side."
The guard: ???
Luo Shiyuan: Lord Chancellor Xie!
/A ruthless, cold-blooded scheming minister who is actually devoted and hopelessly lovesick x a lively, warm-seeming female assassin who is actually a heartless black lotus/
