Legend says that only one god on the continent of Teyvat can command the power of the Space element.

She was an outsider adopted by Morax, the Geo Archon, and a guardian who protected Liyue through the Archon War.

But when she went to war alongside the Geo Archon during the battle of Khaenri'ah, the two set out together, and only one returned.

Ever since, the Geo Archon has carried the Serenitea Pot that can no longer be opened, while the last remaining Yaksha keeps watch year-round beside the golden tree they planted together.

Then, five hundred years later, a young woman known as the Traveler battles Stormterror and accidentally awakens her.

Rumor has it that one day, a mysterious guest arrived at Liyue's Adventurers' Guild.

She was Rex Lapis's appointed representative and an honored guest of the Liyue Qixing. Wherever she went, the Conqueror of Demons followed like a shadow, and her name was left all over the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor's tabs.

From then on, the "dead" god takes on the guise of a novice adventurer to repair the teleportation towers across the seven nations, joining the journey through them all as the Traveler's mysterious benefactor.

A seemingly naive newbie who doesn't know her place, she is in truth a passionate god who can casually reshape heaven and earth.

Hunting enemies is her specialty, appreciating beauty is her hobby, and sharing both good and bad fortune is her blessing. The result is that their side trips always have to be extended a little, because her secret identity keeps getting exposed...

The bard empties all his savings to rent out the Dawn Winery at an incredible friends-and-family discount, so he can drink with her until they both pass out.

The Wangsheng Funeral Parlor's consultant goes on strike for days, gathering the adepti from all over to help her build a new bedroom.

I started writing this story because I wanted to join this world from a more passionate perspective, sharing in their joy and grief. Not as a Traveler, but as a soul who came all this way just for them.

[This volume covers Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma, focusing on reunion and the past. The parts involving the Archon War are somewhat heavy. The second volume will begin a new journey in Sumeru, focusing on encounters and the future, with a lighter, more everyday feel.]

[The protagonist is not one of the Four Shades. She's an independent transmigrator, sunny as a spring day, but with a hint of mischief. She loves and hates fiercely and cares for many people, though she has her favorites. She's not simply kind or loving: she has both human and divine nature.]

[The Mondstadt portion of Volume One is short. Barbatos will appear later in the main plot and in flashbacks to a thousand years ago. If you'd like to see more of the Mondstadt characters, there may be everyday-life chapters later, or I may write them as bonus stories.]

The main plot follows the game's story and contains spoilers. Anything that differs from canon is fictional. Characters may be out of character, and there may be inconsistencies, so read at your own discretion.
