[Hua Qian Gu Fanfiction] Seeking the Way Through the Mist

There are many personal takes and quite a few differences from the original work. Here are the parts with different settings:

You Ruo is the former head of Changliu and Sheng Xiaomo's master.

Mo Yan and Bai Zihua's master is Yandao, a disciple of the 126th generation. You Ruo is Sheng Xiaomo's master, a disciple of the 81st generation, but they entered the sect only a few decades apart.

Yandao is a thoroughly black-hearted man, and he founded Penglai by himself later on.

During You Ruo's time, Hua Qiangu was named Qingli, a name she chose for herself. At first, You Ruo called her "Goddess Nuwa." Later, the two became friends, and she chose this name for herself. Hua Qiangu is still Zhuran's mother, and she gave birth to Zhuran with Mo Yan. Zhuran's name was chosen by her and You Ruo together from the beginning, so that if anything happened to her a thousand years later, You Ruo could find the child by that name. Sheng Xiaomo knows what the names Qingli and Zhuran mean. Hua Qiangu was once Sheng Xiaomo's daughter, too, and Sheng Xiaomo named her Sheng Xiaogu.

Sha Qianmo was originally a Changliu disciple named Liuxia. He later joined Qisha and changed his name, which is why he lent his identity to the nameless Hua Qiangu.

Hua Qiangu is still Bai Zihua's disciple, still faces the Tribulation of Samsara, and still suffers.

Greed, anger, and delusion are no longer judged as simplistically as in the original work, but return to their Buddhist meanings. The greed in the Hall of Greed means craving for more when everything is going too smoothly. The anger in the Hall of Soul-Severing means blaming the heavens and other people when everything goes wrong. The delusion in the Pool of Passionlessness is not only about romantic love, but also about disregarding right and wrong for one's own selfish interests.

Theme: The road to seeking the Dao stretches far ahead and is full of hardship. How can one cross it? Only through perseverance and determination.
