The Volleyball Association is preparing a reform. Instead of having teams designated by each prefecture compete in the National Sports Festival, outstanding athletes will be selected within each prefecture to form representative teams. This will give athletes who didn't qualify for the IH or Spring High a chance to show themselves on the national stage. Tokyo and Miyagi Prefecture have been selected as pilot regions, and Washijo Tanji has gathered the top high schoolers in Miyagi Prefecture for selection.
Miyagi Prefecture representative team (tentative): Ushijima Wakatoshi, Tendou Satori, Goshiki Tsutomu, Yamagata Hayato, Iwaizumi Hajime, Oikawa Tooru, Kageyama Tobio, Hinata Shoyo, Tsukishima Kei, Nishinoya Yuu, Aone Takanobu
Theme: A team with limited spots and teammates who don't get along
