Walk the Road You Came By

Yun Xi, it feels like it's been so long since I've seen you so poised and graceful. Have you ever missed me? She watched the tides rise and fall from across mountains and seas, learning how to see the essence of things. Has another Zhang Fan joined your old friends, walking the road you once took, reaching an unknown place, going to the distant lands you longed for? With you there, what do the thorns at the ends of the earth matter? There was once a time when thoughts of you were shrouded in clouds, warming your winter. The sight of water droplets clinging to tender buds is truly beautiful. Nourished by the source of life, they show their vivid green, so lifelike it seems almost uncanny. When you deliberately try to imagine it, you fail to understand the melancholy tears shed along that road. We can only cling to the belief that the feelings we had when we set out will be brightened by clusters of wildflowers brushed with color, allowing them to bloom brilliantly. And you, too, will receive a garland ringed with colorful light, making a dazzling entrance before everyone's eyes. Yet the road you once traveled has long since lost the lush, decorated look it had before...
