As a Villain, Whose Cake Did I Steal, Anyway?

In short, Hoshino Ibuki is a villain.

As a criminal organization executive who has done every bad thing imaginable, Hoshino Ibuki receives a spam text on his twentieth birthday.

[Your lifespan is about to end. Congratulations on joining our limited-time free trial! The Reform Your Ways app is now available. Have fun during your trial!]

Hoshino Ibuki: LOL, it really thinks I'm going to do this for free.

Thinking his phone has a virus, Hoshino Ibuki brushes it off. That is, until his body is blown to pieces during a mission the next day, and time rewinds to the day before.

Hoshino Ibuki: ...

He refuses to believe it, deletes the app again, and gets blown up again.

After repeating this 99 times, the thoroughly confused Hoshino Ibuki finally can't take it anymore and chooses to give in.

From then on, his life becomes...

[Your pets Bourbon and Rye got into a fight in the game "○○ Kitchen." Please pay 100 million gold coins to repair and renovate the kitchen.]

"..." Fine. What villain knows how to cook? And fighting is a kind of teamwork. Understandable.

[Your pet Gin refused to rescue the princess in the game "Zel○a" and knocked out the amnesiac protagonist with a stick he found. Please pay 100 million gold coins to compensate the game's protagonist for emotional distress.]

"..." Fine, too. If he couldn't be bothered to accompany that amnesiac blond in fighting monsters either, picking up a stick to protect the environment could count as being friendly. Understandable.

Hoshino Ibuki keeps reassuring himself, only to hear the System's notification tone.

[Your pet Douma tried to eat your pet Tsuna in the game "○○ Journey." Please pay 100 million gold coins to revive your pet Tsuna.]

With the trial period nearly over, Hoshino Ibuki has yet to raise a single good person and is about to die. He can't believe it.

Enough! This is too much! His rabbit Tsuna is the most promising one of all these villains!

Spit him out! Spit him out right now!
