Stern, proper, clingy old dog OR powerful, autocratic, fatherly emperor x female lead who dresses as a man and goes along with it if she can survive, but does whatever she wants if she can't

Gu Xi got a fresh start at life.
Good news: She was reborn as the pampered, precious daughter of a high-ranking official in the capital.
Bad news: None of that applied to her. She was forced to impersonate a son born to a concubine, and thus began her career as an actor in ancient times.
At last, she grew up...
Good news: Once she passed the imperial examinations, she could disappear, fake her death, and return home to farm.
Bad news: On the day of the palace examination, the damn emperor named her top scholar and granted her in marriage to Prince Huainan.
Gu Xi was about to gain her freedom, but now she stiffened like a cat picked up by the scruff of its neck.
Gu Xi: Me? For real?
Only after getting married did she learn that she had transmigrated into a novel. The heroine, Lin Muxue, was trying to clear her father's name.
In this women-oriented wish-fulfillment story, she gathered a crowd of male supporting characters, entered the officialdom, collected clues, and rose through the ranks, ultimately clearing her father's name with their help and marrying the male lead.
The male lead was none other than Prince Huainan, Yan Yuchuan.
She was probably the sickly former wife the male lead had been forced to marry.
Gu Xi was confused. Gu Xi pondered. Gu Xi understood. Gu Xi decided to lie flat. Gu Xi ran away.
So that's how it was. Then she could relax... Not!
The book never said the former wife was a husband too! (A strange case of one story nesting inside another.)
She had to find a way to leave the capital!
A few months later
Gu Xi covered her lips, still numb from all the licking, her slender body forcibly bound to a six-foot-two-inch human attachment. Living, but barely.
In the book, the male lead's heart was supposedly as frozen as an old refrigerator that hadn't been defrosted in eight hundred years. He was gradually thawed by the heroine's talent and perseverance.
So why had his character changed?!
Even the usually gentle and restrained emperor was touching the back of her neck, making her hair stand on end, with a strange look on his face...
Bonus scenes (not to be taken seriously):
1. Yan Yuchuan's dark eyes remained fixed on his little wife, brimming with devotion. "Even if it's only for a quarter of an hour, I want to spend it with Ashui."
Gu Xi retied the sash she'd just undone and kicked him out. "Get out! Can't I even use the bathroom in peace?"
2. Yan Yuchuan secretly took a sachet and hung it from his own belt. He sidled up to her, kissed her, and sneakily nibbled at her. "Ashui's scent is the best. I want to smell like Ashui, too."
Gu Xi expressionlessly slapped away the big face leaning toward her. "That's for giving to people. If you want to smell like the maid next door, the errand boy, or the old woman who empties the night soil, that's up to you."
3. In the middle of the night, Yan Yuchuan secretly crept from the side room onto the footstool. His large, veined hand gently circled her dangling ankle and stroked it. His eyes held nothing but restraint. "Ashui said to stop, so I'll stop. I'll just stay with you, Ashui, and won't do anything else."
Gu Xi shut her eyes and took a deep breath, then kicked him in the butt. "Get up here! You sleep on the footstool, and where's my maid supposed to sleep?"
Theme: Love can break through confinement
I also want to see the interaction between the male and female protagonists
Author boss, please comment on the opening paragraph [join hands][cross hands]
Yay! It's my favorite old-fashioned woman dressed as a man 😏 😍
