The Female Educated Youth Takes On the Entertainment Industry

Blurb: [Lighthearted + Daily Life + Entertainment Industry + Farming]

Xia Miao spent several years sent down to the countryside. Thanks to her outstanding abilities, she became a team leader who could handle half the village's work. Just as she was preparing to return to the city and attend university, a loose rock tumbled down from a cliff and hit her. When she opened her eyes again...

It was 1979, and now it was 2019.

A female educated youth had become a female idol.

Dancing? Sorry, the only dance she knows is the yangge.

Singing? Sorry, she only knows how to sing "Sing a Folk Song for the Party."

But her strong sense of responsibility would not let her just walk away!

She trained day and night, rehearsed dance routines, and entered talent competitions...

Xia Miao: The city is full of tricks. I want to go back to the countryside...

Just as she was falling into despair...

The heartless company: There's a variety show called Back to Field!

Xia Miao's eyes light up: How is this just a farming show? This is exactly the life I've been longing for.

Farming? After all those years sent down to the countryside, isn't that a piece of cake?

Raising pigs? Postpartum care for sows is a breeze for me!

Hardships? I read Selected Works of Mao every day. There's no problem I can't solve!

And so, in 2019, a little-known variety show called Back to Field suddenly became a nationwide hit.

[Help! Why is this show so funny!]

[My 60-year-old grandma stays up every night watching it now.]

[Sis Xia is my god!]

At the same time, a poor mountain village underwent enormous changes because of Xia Miao and her companions...
