The first time Zhong Jiu went to an internet cafe, a classmate dragged him along. "If you keep staring at your homework and doodling, you'll turn into an idiot!" Then they whisked him out of there.
He's grateful he didn't turn them down that day... After all, not everyone gets advice from a stranger, gets handed a card, and only realizes after going home that it was Ye Xiu. What a story.
Countless times, he felt secretly glad about how lucky he was.
Ye Xiu was simply that captivating. Zhong Jiu wanted to get closer, just a little closer.
Until he belatedly realized that his feelings had crossed a line.
I've reset things, added some background and personality details for the protagonist, and extensively revised the story.
Zhong's university life is a composite based on interviews with a bunch of friends. There's no real-life model; everything serves the story.
I'm trying hard to get the romance right, but if it ends up feeling like there's no romance, all I can say is that I'm too focused on their careers. (Hey!)
It follows the original story and is a slow burn. I want their love to be mutual, not something I force on them.
The old outline dates back several years, and I've kept most of the common wording and expressions from back then, so please be aware. If you notice any problems, let me know. Thanks.
Updates will be slow.
The two characters' positions don't matter. Although Xiao Jiu has changed from the pursuer to them being switches, the fundamentals haven't changed. The old version only labeled Jiu as the pursuer, without showing it anywhere else. (Fiddles with fingers.)
Theme: Some things are worth trying, because you won't know if you can succeed until you do
Captain Tiny Herb personally went to poach Lao Ye 😂
Are you going to resume updating?
