Back in high school,

Xu Yushu and Pei Zhiyu couldn't stand each other and wanted nothing to do with one another for the rest of their lives.

It all started with a mix-up over a love letter.

After an unexpected reunion,

Xu Yushu still kept her distance, wishing she could get away as fast as possible. But Pei Zhiyu's behavior was enough to leave anyone dumbfounded.

It wasn't that he'd stopped being sharp-tongued. It was that everything he did had become... baffling.

After the class reunion, Xu Yushu had no ride home. She looked up.

A black car was parked across the road. Pei Zhiyu was smoking in the freezing wind, his fingertips red from the cold, yet he still didn't leave.

In the parking lot, Xu Yushu went to get her car, only to find that the carefully calculated gap between the cars had vanished. The two cars were parked right up against each other.

She turned around in confusion. Pei Zhiyu was walking over at an unhurried pace.

After a rear-end collision, Xu Yushu finished negotiating with the car's owner. The owner said a friend would come pick them up soon and asked her to wait a little.

And who else should show up but Pei Zhiyu?

Xu Yushu was utterly bewildered. How did she keep running into him everywhere?

She couldn't help suspecting he had an ulterior motive.

You Shixing is always dazzling and uninhibited, the center of attention wherever he goes. Everyone knows him for his heaven-blessed good looks, and he's a pampered young master born with every advantage.

Yet the two of them can't stand each other.

Whenever they're about to cross paths, one of them goes out of their way to avoid it. They'd rather take the long way around than see each other.

So everyone assumes they have nothing to do with each other.

Until one day at an event, in full view of everyone, You Shixing walks right up to Su Jia as if no one else is there and casually asks, "Wait for me?"

Everyone else is left staring in disbelief: ...?

They arrive at the venue in a daze, only to be hit with another shock:

Who else could the two people kissing in the corner be but Su Jia and You Shixing?

One day after class, Su Jia packed her things, glanced at the person who'd been waiting at the front door for ages, then slung on her backpack and took her usual route out the back.

To her surprise, she still found him waiting at the far end of the hallway.

You Shixing spotted her and walked over unhurriedly, his eyes fixed on her. "Avoiding me again?"

Su Jia denied it. "When have I ever avoided you?"

"When haven't you?"

You Shixing smiled and drawled, "I'm the one who got rejected, not you. What are you embarrassed about?"
