Xie Cha promptly added, "If you don't want to keep the dog, I can take it too."
Pei Congyun got straight to the point. "Why do you want a divorce?"
Xie Cha sighed. "The last time I treated your fans to milk tea, they stripped several of my tea trees bare."
He quietly let the tears fall. "And they still insulted me today."

Xie Cha was a total slacker who married someone he thought looked nice. His partner was just as lazy, barely putting any effort into acting or showing up for work. He never imagined that one day this guy would become a top-tier star.
Xie Cha didn't care. He just wanted to sleep.
Then he noticed people online had started cursing him out. When he looked into it, he found out Pei Congyun had announced their marriage.

He hated commotion, and he hated being insulted. He decided to divorce Pei Congyun.
"For the sake of your career," Xie Cha declared solemnly, "we should get divorced."
Really, he just didn't want people cursing him out.

Xie Cha hated his husband. They had agreed to slack off together, but when people in the industry dug into Pei Congyun's humble beginnings, it turned out he'd worked incredibly hard.
A reporter asked Pei Congyun, "You worked so hard back then. Did you ever think you'd win an award?"
Pei Congyun replied coolly, "I wasn't working hard."
The reporter was dumbfounded. "Didn't you take odd jobs and work out back then?"
Pei Congyun: "My wife was working there. She said she liked men with good physiques."
Everyone in showbiz knew that Movie Star Pei was a hopeless romantic, except his slacker wife, Xie Cha.
