Baila is a divine tree born from the void.
Ever since it gained consciousness, it had drifted through the void. It had no roots, no soil, no wind, no rain, and not even light. It existed in solitude.
By chance, it encountered a System task-taker. From then on, Baila began to take human form, cultivate, and enjoy freedom. In each small world, all it had to do was fulfill a small wish for the being who had offered up their body.
World One: Ancient setting, the long-suffering ex-wife who was treated like a tool
Her husband, missing; his mother, frail; his father, ill; and the little ones, all still so young.
Zhang Shan's husband went missing while performing corvee labor. At home were only her elderly father-in-law, her sick mother-in-law, and three young siblings-in-law. As the eldest daughter-in-law, Zhang Shan could only grit her teeth and take care of her husband's parents and raise his younger siblings.
Even though they had been married for only three days and she couldn't even remember her husband's face, all of it became her responsibility. She worked from sunrise to sunset, crushed by the burdens of life until she could barely breathe.
It turned out her missing husband had lost his memory. After more than a decade of hard work, he became a great general and married a princess. By the time he remembered who he was, Zhang Shan had been dead from exhaustion for over a month.
His family was finally reunited, embracing one another and weeping with joy. But Zhang Shan, the first wife, had even been erased from the record. After all, a princess couldn't be saddled with the reputation of being a second wife.
The tool-person's wish: Stop being the one who gets taken advantage of
World Two: The tool-person who gives the female lead her golden finger
An ancestral jade pendant was given to the female lead by the tool-person Li Si's useless, lovesick son. When the apocalypse came, the female lead used the space and spirit spring inside the pendant to rise above everyone else, while the tool-person Li Si and his family died horribly in the apocalypse.
The tool-person's wish: Survive the apocalypse with his wife
World Three: The tool-person who funded the supporting male character's education
Li Si funded the education of a group of people. The supporting male character was the best student among them and was willing to marry into Li Si's family, so Li Si gradually handed his company over to him.
But the supporting male character fell in love with the female lead. Unwilling to give up the Li Group and unable to let go of the female lead, he secretly hired people to run Li Si and his family down.
The tool-person's wish: Stop funding ungrateful people and raise his daughter
World Four: A school story with four popular boys, and the female lead's friend is the tool-person
World Five: An occult story, where the villain refines the tool-person into a little ghost
World Six: A crime investigation story, where the tool-person is pushed off a mountain by his live-in son-in-law
World Seven: A modern city setting, where the tool-person is locked outside her own home by her best friend and dies a miserable death
Warnings:
1. This is true quick transmigration. Each world is a few chapters long and then wraps up.
2. Baila is a tree and has no human concept of gender. Its gender depends on the body it inhabits in each world. So there are both male and female perspectives, and whether the protagonist needs to marry and have children will depend on the society in each world (the gender will be stated in the story summary; the love interest is also a tool-person. Of course, the romance section is geared toward a female audience, so some worlds will have female protagonists).
3. This time, I don't want to write a protagonist growing from immature to mature. So from the very first world, Baila has already been a quick-transmigration veteran for ages.
4. To keep each world simple, the female protagonist will be called Zhang Shan and the male protagonist Li Si (I just couldn't think of enough names...).
Theme: Everyone is the protagonist of their own life
