The protagonist is a specially admitted student from the slums. He refuses to bow to the academy's rigid class hierarchy, and clashes with the male leads. But his pure, kind, steadfast, and courageous heart gradually draws them to him.

The four male leads all come from powerful, wealthy families. They're all heirs to the most prestigious dynasties, each more untouchable than the last.

As the usual trope goes, anyone who gets involved with them ends up in a bad way. At best, their family is ruined and they die.

At least he's only a background character. If he can't afford to provoke them, he can surely stay out of their way.

What Yun Qi doesn't know is that the book he'd opened was an unauthorized copy, and he's transmigrated into the original novel.

And so a series of misunderstandings begins.

The men he wanted to avoid keep getting closer, and the looks they give him grow increasingly strange. He becomes the center of the storm, trapped in a chaotic love rivalry...

The usually arrogant and unruly F1 corners him against the wall, his voice domineering and severe: "Be with me. You're not allowed to see those other guys, got it?"

The aloof, desireless F2, a flower atop a high mountain, wraps his arms around him from behind and pulls him into his embrace. The snow that had lain unmelted in his eyes for years begins to thaw, and his voice turns hoarse. "I want you."

The gloomy, obsessive F3's eyes grow red and damp as he clings desperately to Yun Qi's hand, refusing to let him leave. "Please, don't leave me."

Then there's F4, the gentle and flawless student council president. Usually restrained and reserved, he openly confesses his feelings to Yun Qi in front of the entire school.

Even the gorgeous protagonist seems to be acting strangely, clinging to him and hugging him every day, and badmouthing the other F4 behind their backs. "Those arrogant rich kids only know how to bully you. Unlike me, I know how to take care of you, big brother."
