* A brooding, sharp-tongued, too-cool-for-you guy x an energetic, cheerful girl
* Childhood friends | High school to college | Slice of life
* 1v1 sweet romance
Blurb:
Other childhood friends are warm and caring, thoughtful and considerate. Yuan Li's childhood friend is more like a bad-tempered snow wolf who barks at her every time he sees her.
Yuan Li figures she must have had terrible luck in her past life to end up growing up alongside Chen Zhengyu in this one.
For example, she asks Chen Zhengyu to grab the ketchup for her burger.
Three seconds later, he tosses her a packet of bitter melon mustard sauce, irritably saying, “There's no ketchup. You remembered wrong. You like bitter melon mustard.”
Yuan Li: “...”
-
Yuan Li thinks of herself as an ordinary girl: pretty enough, average grades, a few dreams for the future, and a sunny disposition.
If there's anything special about her, there are probably only three things:
First, her eyes are especially big and round.
Second, she's especially good-tempered.
Third, she lives next door to Chen Zhengyu.
Chen Zhengyu is nothing like her. He's the school's golden boy, surrounded by admirers, and has never fallen out of the top three in the rankings. His temper is nothing special, and he's bullied her from primary school through high school. He never goes three sentences without saying, “Yuan Li, you're so stupid,” or “I'm breaking off our friendship tomorrow.”
If Yuan Li didn't bring it up herself, no one would ever guess they were childhood friends who had grown up together. The only reason their friendship had lasted so long without falling apart was that she never stooped to Chen the Dog's level.
The only thing they have in common is that they've always gone to school together, and in the end, they both applied to the same top university in the province.
Yuan Li has always thought Chen Zhengyu was arrogant. Whenever she hears other people praise him, she just wants to list out every nasty thing he's done since they were kids.
So when Chen Zhengyu asked her where she was going to college and said that if he applied to the same university, he could keep ordering her around, Yuan Li, powerless to resist, never even imagined that...
The anonymous love letter in her drawer, the one she hadn't thought much of, had actually come from Chen Zhengyu, the proud, bad-tempered boy who had never bowed his head to her in all his eighteen years.

I wanted so badly to write a childhood-friends story that I impulsively opened preorders for one...
The main story may lean toward everyday life, but it's definitely going to be sweet, hehe ^^
