Playing the Ultimate Alpha

In the Glass-Colored Garden, the top 0.01 percent of Alphas hold the entire aristocratic academy in their grasp.

They are powerful, arrogant, conceited, contemptuous of all, and perched high above everyone else.

Countless Alphas, Betas, and Omegas throw themselves into the fray, like a frenzied swarm of bees, desperate to force their way through the gates of Azathoth.

Some even have their children registered from the time they are born, so they can enroll the moment they come of age.

Countless people reach out, hoping to catch even the slightest sway of the hem of supreme power.

After Xie Yin died in a car accident, his escaping soul was forcibly captured by the System and brought by accident to this world.

Unfortunately, he didn't become any of the chosen ones mentioned above. Instead, he transmigrated into a low-ranking Alpha from the slums.

Xie Yin: ...Isn't that against the rules of transmigration?

The System he was bound to was on its last legs. It told him that if he could win the favor of these chosen ones, he could earn points and extend his life.

Xie Yin: “...”

The System added: To win the favor of these self-important, godlike elites, why not try pretending to be one of them?

Xie Yin looked down at his shabby pockets, patched twice over, and the old-fashioned terminal he'd just dug out of a garbage heap.

Xie Yin: “...”

In the rigidly class-stratified Azathoth, pretending to be a rich and powerful top-tier Alpha? Xie Yin thought the System must be dreaming.

But whether he could do it or not, he had to try. To cling to life, Xie Yin began cramming on the basics of the ABO world and cautiously embarked on his role-playing mission.

And so began his absurd yet dazzling life, a walk along a tightrope.

-

Many, many years later.

A certain joke still circulated in Azathoth:

Perhaps the world only gave birth to Xie Yin because God said, “Let there be light.”
