The Immortal Fox and Her Childhood Friend Circle Around Each Other

Meng Wangshu, the youngest ruler in Qingqiu's history, has defeated every opponent in the Three Realms and now finds life a little boring.

To find some amusement, she decides to get together with the son of her mother's ex-boyfriend. They aren't related by blood, and he's exactly her type, so it would only make sense for him to give in to her.

But the young mountain god ignores all her hints, subtle or otherwise, and repeatedly goes out of his way to avoid her.

Raised as the darling of everyone around her, Meng Wangshu has never been treated so coldly.

Then one day, she fishes that haughty mountain god out from beneath an icy river.

Looking at his pale, handsome face, Meng Wangshu's little grievance vanishes at once. She smugly hooks a finger under his chin, her eyes gleaming.

“They say a life-saving debt is the hardest to repay. Why not give yourself to me and be mine?”

But the fellow who has just regained consciousness calmly tugs open his drenched collar, which clings to his chest.

“Since you want me so badly, I'll let you have me this once. But only this once.”

The banks of the icy river are bitterly cold. But the man she's been pining for all this time really is a delight...

After she'd had her fill, Meng Wangshu dusted herself off and returned to Qingqiu.

She thought they'd never see each other again. But the following year, the Moon Clan went to war, slaughtering their way through the Three Realms.

Defeated, Meng Wangshu was locked in a dungeon, barely clinging to life.

Just as she was about to fight her enemy to the death, Lu Bodu strode in through the blood and gore, a bloodied sword in hand.

He bent down and bit her lip.

“Look, for your sake, I nearly killed every last one of my people.”

Though her breath was faint, Meng Wangshu couldn't help laughing.

“What? You're only regretting that you let me have you just once when I'm about to die?”

Lu Bodu swept her up in his arms, kicked open the broken dungeon door, and said in a low voice,

“From now on, all of Kunlun will be your backing. Just one condition...”

“Don't you dare have your fun and then dump me in an icy river again!”
