This story turned out so average, ahhh! I'm going to stockpile a few more chapters, then give it a major rewrite and revision.
Here's the blurb:
Li Ji, arrogant and domineering, died bearing the blame, yet was buried alongside the emperor in Yangling. The only person in the Han dynasty to have a double burial passage, she leaves a little immortal boy peeking at the Mortal Mirror in some confusion. Did Emperor Jing like Li Ji or not?
Li Ji raises her hand. She says she has a right to speak on this. When you were gravely ill, she called you an old dog and said that once you died, she'd torment all your wives and sons. The moment the empress was deposed, she rushed to claim the throne for herself as the new empress. She even joined forces with the ministers to put pressure on you... If you could still like her after all that, you're one hell of a guy.
Li Ji thinks she's been wronged, terribly wronged, more wronged than Dou E! Who could have guessed that the emperor, who was already at death's door, would recover because she made him so angry? When he loved her, he promised every day to make her his one and only empress. When he stopped loving her, he accused her of forming a faction and plotting to take the throne. Her own son was already crown prince. Being empress dowager was far better than being empress, so why would she invite all that trouble?
The little immortal boy can't hear Li Ji's complaints. He clicks his tongue and sighs, and, apparently having seen something in the Mortal Mirror, finally remarks, "Looking at it this way, Emperor Jing really did like Li Ji!" That nearly makes Li Ji come back to life from sheer rage. Forgetting that she's a wandering spirit, she reaches out to snatch the Mortal Mirror. To her surprise, though she could only pass through objects before, this time she actually manages to tug the mirror...
OOC warning. A romance novel.
A little history + a little TV drama + a little imagination = this story
Theme: People must learn to be patient
Why is it locked? Chapter 2
