Married first, fell in love later
Dazzling, brash heiress vs. refined, dignified, chaste gentleman
Before Tang Mingzhi was discovered to be the Tang family's fake heiress, her parents had already packed her off to marry into the wealthy Meng family of Wencheng.
The Meng family's young master was supposed to marry her, but on the wedding day, he ran away to be with his true love. So the Meng family's elders pushed Meng Jin, a thirty-year-old bachelor, into the role of groom.
Meng Jin was the youngest head of the Meng family, standing at the top of a pyramid worth hundreds of billions. He was refined and dignified, kept his private life spotless, avoided women, and was so chaste it was almost alarming. He was the most sought-after bachelor among Wencheng's wealthy young women, and the most reliable son-in-law in the eyes of Wencheng's older generation.
Everyone was waiting for their daughters to win Meng Jin over. No one could have imagined that after the young Meng master ran away from his wedding, this desirable catch would end up with Tang Mingzhi, whose arrogance knew no bounds.
In other people's eyes, Meng Jin was a prize catch, but Tang Mingzhi couldn't stand him.
She thought his refined, dignified manner would make him terribly dull to be around. Life was long, and she didn't want to be tied to a monk.
Luckily, on the second day after the wedding, the Tang family's real heiress showed up, exposing Tang Mingzhi as the fake heiress.
She waited for Meng Jin to toss her a divorce agreement.
But he didn't.
The real heiress returned to the Tang family, unwilling to accept the years she'd spent in poverty. She was determined to claim everything Tang Mingzhi had ever had.
Her bags, high-end jewelry, and all the designer dresses she'd never even worn: the real heiress wanted them all.
Tang Mingzhi could only hand them over. After all, they had belonged to the other woman in the first place.
But it made her furious. Absolutely furious.
On the first day, the real heiress had her name engraved on all the limited-edition bags Tang Mingzhi had painstakingly bought and stored in a whole room at her parents' house.
When Tang Mingzhi found out, she ground her teeth in anger. But when she got home from work and stepped into the marital home she shared with Meng Jin, the Hermès bags filling the living room left her stunned.
Her husband of convenience, Meng Jin, was sitting in the living room in his suit, reading a financial magazine. In a calm voice, he said, "They're for you."
Tang Mingzhi took a photo and posted it to her social media, where everyone, including the real heiress, could see it. Then she heard from her fake best friend that the real heiress was furious. Tang Mingzhi was delighted.
The next day, the real heiress melted all the limited-edition lipsticks Tang Mingzhi had treasured and loved, threw them in the trash, and posted a photo of it.
When Tang Mingzhi got home, Meng Jin had filled both spare bedrooms in their marital home with limited-edition lipsticks, all in shades she liked.
Tang Mingzhi: This is amazing!
The real heiress flaunted her affection with the young Meng master who had run away from the wedding, right in front of Tang Mingzhi. She made sure to show off the two hickeys on her neck, mocking Tang Mingzhi and Meng Jin as a married couple in name only.
Tang Mingzhi thought she couldn't exactly argue with that.
She and Meng Jin really were the kind of couple who shared a bed but slept under separate blankets.
But that night, Meng Jin slipped under her blanket.
Tang Mingzhi was slick with sweat, clutching her bitten, reddened chest with both hands. Her cheeks flushed as she shouted, her voice unsteady, "Wait, there's really no need to compete over this..."
Meng Jin pulled her hands away and held her close, leisurely planting one hickey after another.
He smiled faintly. "How could I let my wife lose?"
*
Tang Mingzhi had thought that a successful man as refined and dignified as Meng Jin would like pure, harmless little white flowers. But after six months of marriage, and nights of being thoroughly pampered, she finally realized that Meng Jin's type really was a brash, dazzling villainess like her.
She was deeply puzzled, so on a sunny day, she asked Meng Jin:
"What is it you actually like about me? My looks? Or my curvy figure?"
At the time, Meng Jin was sitting on the balcony in a white shirt and gray trousers, refined and gentle as he leafed through an obscure religious text.
At her question, he raised his eyes and considered it for a moment. "I suppose I like how you insist on taking the top at night, even though you clearly don't have the strength, and then claw at me and complain that I last too..."
A young woman with a flushed face leaped over and covered his mouth with her snowy-white palm before he could finish.
Tang Mingzhi gritted her teeth. What happened to being refined, gentlemanly, chaste, and dignified? He's a scheming, insatiable, shameless rogue!
*The chaste one lets loose
Maximum pampering. The title alone tells you this is pure sweetness~
That's more or less the story. The blurb will be polished further.
