Blurb:
[Slightly oblivious, innocent bunny heroine x outwardly cold, secretly jealous and unhinged hero]
Li Jintang opened her eyes and realized she had transmigrated into a storybook she had never read.
The bad news: evil spirits were everywhere, surrounding an unarmed young man. She would probably be next.
The good news: she had also received a Book of Fate.
The Book of Fate didn't say who the protagonist was, but the person before her had such a dramatic entrance that she figured he must be the protagonist. So she rescued him and kept him by her side, hoping to bask in his protagonist's aura.
Not long afterward, she ran into two other people who had also ended up there by mistake. Li Jintang waved them over. "Come on, all of you. Let's cling to the protagonist and get home together."
But... after all the dangers they'd faced along the way, why did the leg she was clinging to seem more and more suspicious?
Can anyone tell her where the young man went, the one who was cautious, distant with others, yet always managed to escape danger?
Is this person who acts pitiful whenever she says she wants to go home, and even put shackles on her himself, really the same frail young man as before?!
Oh, she'd mistaken him for the protagonist. This guy was the main villain...
The Book of Fate spoke in a trembling voice: "Child, think of something! How are we going to escape?"
Knowing he couldn't hear the Book of Fate, Li Jintang came up with a little trick and escaped from his side.
But the next day, the young man stepped over a mountain of corpses, smiling as though he belonged to a different world from the dead around him.
"Want to leave, Ah Tang? Why not take my corpse with you too?"

When Xie Changyan was first rescued, his spiritual power hadn't recovered. To keep receiving treatment from her, he had no choice but to feign obedience and stay by her side.
Then, once his spiritual power returned, he planned to leave her behind and go on alone.
He prided himself on being ruthless and skilled at deception, never caring whether others lived or died. He expected to leave without a shred of attachment.
He never expected that, for the first time, someone would cry for him as he lay badly wounded and close to death.
Nor had he ever expected that, when trapped and helpless, someone would pierce the clouds and come for him.
Then tell him she wouldn't let him die.
But why was there another madman coveting her?
How annoying. A smile played on the young man's lips, but it never reached his eyes. Then they could all be killed.
She only needed him.
On the day he finally brought her home, Xie Changyan narrowed his eyes as he listened to the girl and a shabby book plot how to leave him.
#An innocent young man transforms into a mad demon lord. He really loves her so much.
Reader's guide:
[Important] If you don't like the free chapters, please stop reading in time. Negative reviews from readers who haven't subscribed and only read the free chapters are not accepted. They will be deleted as soon as I see them.
1. One-on-one romance, both leads are each other's only partner. The male lead isn't a traditional wholly evil villain.
2. There will be a righteous protagonist group. Romance is the main focus, with the plot as a supporting element (but it's not pure romance). The heroine is physically weak.
Note: The romance is relatively light in the first 40 chapters, with a bit of an ensemble cast. The male lead becomes extremely love-brained later, and the romance gradually takes up more space.
3. The setting is entirely fictional, with plenty of original worldbuilding.
4. I don't accept false content warnings. They will be deleted.
5. The male lead can hear the Book of Fate, but not the heroine's thoughts.
6. The author is practicing their writing. Those with high standards for prose should proceed with caution.
Upcoming novel
A lively, sunny heroine x a world-weary villain hero
Xu Songhe transmigrated into a fantasy novel. The System told her that the person closest to her when she opened her eyes would be her future husband.
She glanced at the cool-faced young man beside her, who was also trapped in a monster's lair and meditating with his eyes closed. Her future husband looked like a frail scholar. She would protect him!
But before she could do anything, the supposedly frail young man casually snapped a monster's neck, his expression cold.
"..." Xu Songhe fought back the tears of fright.
Her future husband... didn't seem like a good person.
But that was fine. As long as he treated her well later, that was all that mattered. From beginning to end, all she wanted was a peaceful little home and a quiet life.
She had nowhere else to go, so she followed him every day. But he always seemed to tell everyone to keep their distance, his face covered in frost, making her afraid to get any closer.
For instance, she would offer him a piping-hot roasted sweet potato, and he wouldn't even bother to raise his eyelids. She would chatter on about things she'd seen, and he would act as if he hadn't heard.
Then one day, the unreliable System told her she'd mistaken him for someone else. There had been another person closer to her in that cave.
"He's a villain who does every evil under the sun. Host, the farther you run, the better. He agreed to let you stay by his side, but who knows when he'll capture you and skin you alive?"
Terrified, Xu Songhe immediately packed her things and ran. Before leaving, she left a note on the stone table outside his door: "I mistook you for someone else before. Sorry for the trouble. I wish you well. Goodbye forever."

Qi Wuyang's true form was the last nine-tailed fox in the world, and he was a villain everyone wanted dead. He had always hated betrayal and never trusted anyone lightly. For centuries, almost no one had even managed to approach him and live.
But she was different. She'd seen him kill someone with her own eyes, so why wasn't she afraid?
When they first met, she stood in front of him, trembling all over, and stammered that she would protect him. Qi Wuyang spared her out of curiosity, or perhaps simply because he couldn't be bothered to kill her.
After they got out, she followed right behind him every day, never leaving his side, her eyes always shining as she called him "husband."
At first, he assumed she was like everyone else and only wanted to use him. But when he was ambushed and in danger, his spiritual power uncontrollably leaking away, she rushed to him without hesitation. Smiling brightly, she held his true form and stroked his fox ears to comfort him.
For the first time, the young man had someone close to him. Faced with this sudden warmth, he felt utterly at a loss.
He began to get used to the hot food she brought him, to her constant chatter, and even to her scent. If he didn't see her for a moment, he felt anxious and unsettled.
Qi Wuyang gripped the note as flames danced at his fingertips. The paper curled into ash and scattered in a soft shower.
He didn't understand what it meant to like someone, or how to love. He only knew that she had to stay with him forever, and that he had to be the only one by her side.
* Little scene
The day after Xu Songhe packed up and ran away, before she had even figured out what was going on, she opened her eyes the next morning to a vivid expanse of red.
Her wrists were loosely bound with red silk, tied to the bedpost. Beside her was a warm, beautifully decorated bridal chamber.
The young man was kneeling before her, gently kissing her hand. His eyes, usually as cold as frost, were now churning with dark currents, as though a long-suppressed madness had finally torn through its disguise.
"Ah He," he said softly, a broken smile in his voice, "I have to be your only husband. If anyone tries to take you away, I'll kill him."
She was gathered into his arms, her consciousness nearly fading. His lips brushed her earlobe, sending shivers through her.
