After the development of the Kirin Translation-Myriad Light Emitter and its large-scale deployment, along with the differentiation of "Translators" and "Scouts," humanity finally began to gain the ability to stand against the "Xixing." The academy "Kindle Tower" was established to train these specialists. "Lighthouses" were built in sparsely populated areas to resist the Xixing's predatory encroachment. Lighthouse 009, nestled among welcoming mountains, seemed to turn away all visitors. Its facilities were dilapidated and it stood in a perilous location. Several batches of Scouts had been sent there. Those who fared better returned defeated; those who fared worse never came back. The Wood Dormancy break had just ended, and graduation was only thirty days away. The first all-S-ranked Scout dormitory since Kindle Tower was founded suddenly received a new Translator student. In the gray, dispirited city of the endless night, everyone had deep, dust-dark hair and eyes. But this new student had eyes like a pale moon and fine golden hair. "What are they up to now? The love interests' feelings for him are far stronger than his feelings for them. Xiao Qiu is slow to reciprocate. 4. The love interests' attitudes change over time.
