Synopsis:

Lin Yinuo is the youngest Chinese teacher at Nanzhang High School. Gentle and poised, she always buttons her shirt right up to the top.

Zhang Zeyu owns the tattoo shop at the end of the alley. The studs in his ear cartilage catch the light, a cigarette rests between his fingers, and there's always a hint of roguishness in his smile.

They should have had nothing to do with each other, until she discovers the most rebellious student in her class skipping school and hiding in his shop, hoping to try getting a tattoo;

until he recognizes her as the "model student" who tore up her award certificate for outstanding graduates at their graduation ceremony years ago.

Zhang Zeyu turns slightly to block her way, deftly pulling his phone from his pocket. "Tsk, honestly, the young teacher's got no patience."

The academic affairs director warns her, "Stay away from that kind of person."

But no one knows that her lesson planner holds a rough sketch of a flying bird that he drew on a whim;

or that his workbench hides a student essay she graded.

Later, someone sees Teacher Lin rise onto her tiptoes and tug his earring. "Cen Li, page seven, clause three of the school rules..."

He catches her wrist and chuckles. "It bans relationships between teachers and students. It doesn't say you can't date a tattoo shop owner."
