My Reputation Is Ruined in the Volleyball Club

[To be rewritten]

The Multiverse New Life Simulator is a virtual life game that earned a perfect rating from the moment it launched. A year later, it added a feature that let players carry things over between playthroughs, and the game took the country by storm.

Saiki Oto was a devoted player. Three years after launch, when she heard a brand-new version was coming out, she immediately called three friends and got them to stake out the store to grab a copy.

The new version of Multiverse Online 3.0 introduced a friends system, letting players join up and survive together in one world.

You could also choose your world instead of having one generated at random.

Saiki Oto, whose luck had always been terrible, cried tears of joy. She really didn't want to be born into a hot-blooded battle anime again! She was only supposed to be a character in a short-form comedy anime!

And since she'd recently gotten obsessed with volleyball along with her friends, she decisively invited the three of them to play online.

Friend One, an Inarizaki fan: "I spawned as the Miya brothers' little sister. I was born to be chosen!"

Friend Two, an Inarizaki fan: "Just an ordinary little girl born in Hyogo Prefecture~"

Friend Three, an Inarizaki fan: "I'm the neighbor of the person above. Over."

Saiki Oto, a Nekoma fan who drew the Miyagi ticket: "Enough! I feel sorry for myself!"

"About how my fave is at Nekoma, but I'm into Miya and Suna, and I ended up at Karasuno"

A strange new kid joined the Karasuno Volleyball Club. They always practiced alone in a corner, and spent all their free time wearing headphones and playing on their phone, with a clear "keep away" vibe.

But one day, the new kid's phone rang.

With everyone watching, they answered and asked in an incredibly tender voice, "What's wrong, baby?"

Everyone there: ?!!

Tanaka and Nishinoya gritted their teeth and strained to eavesdrop. "You gave them your allowance again? If you need money, just use the card I gave you. You lost it? Then I'll transfer a million to you for now. That should last you a little while."

Tanaka and Nishinoya: The person on the other end has to be this popular kid's girlfriend!!!

Sawamura, Sugawara, and Azumane, who noticed what really mattered, were stunned. O-One million?!

She didn't get the Tokyo ticket, but she did roll a character with a family background stat of 10.

How was that not incredibly lucky?
