He was fair-skinned and handsome, gentle and considerate, but often suffered from asthma because of his poor health. Her parents frequently had to rush him to the hospital in the middle of the night.
Her younger brother's arrival took nearly all of their parents' affection. They took care of him in every possible way, even more than they did her.
Ming Yan hated him.

At eighteen, Ming Yan woke up amid ruin and chaos.
The accursed younger brother was beside her.
He had violated her, destroyed her life, and stolen her dreams. Yet her parents wanted to protect him, kneeling and begging her to let him off.
She was so furious she broke down. During their argument, she accidentally pushed him down the stairs.
When he was discharged from the hospital, he was paralyzed from the waist down, with both legs disabled.

On a pitch-black, rainy night,
Ming Yan came home drunk with nowhere to go and, for some inexplicable reason, ended up at her younger brother's house.
He lived alone year-round. He was as gentle and cheerful as ever, and didn't mind that seeing him made Ming Yan feel sick.
In the middle of the night, Ming Yan accidentally answered her younger brother's phone.
The person on the other end was a doctor from the hospital.
They said, "Mr. Ming, our hospital recently received a few new shipments of imported medication. They're well suited to Ms. Du Yan's condition."
Suddenly, Ming Yan remembered a long-forgotten past.
It turned out she had another name: Du Yan.
