Rabbit Cake and Bear Cookies

One morning, the owner of a dessert shop, Laika, opened her door and found a girl with fluffy, curly hair like a little bear. The girl was lively and innocent, dressed in a loose, soft sweater, her round eyes darting around.

Laika, who hated trouble, wanted to send her away, but the girl, Susie, inexplicably latched on to her.

As if that weren't enough, Susie kept saying silly things Laika couldn't understand. "Laika, Laika, you're Skyla, the Goddess of the Sky, and I'm Cynthia, the Goddess of the Moon. We used to be inseparable lovers, and now I've come to find you."

"Huh?" Laika thought Susie ought to get treatment if she was sick. She couldn't take having a crazy little bear of a girl around any longer.

But since the silly little bear didn't want a paycheck, Laika ended up keeping her on as a waitress.
