Ran Away With a Baby After Screwing Up the System Task

[A prickly, straightforward native top x a soft, cute bottom transmigrated into a fairy pitta]

After Cen Moyu transmigrated into a book, he was bound to a System.

System: "Your goal is to make the top and bottom fall in love and ascend after overcoming their tribulations!"

Cen Moyu: "What do I get out of it?"

System: "There's a divine artifact in this world that can grant any wish. Once the task is complete, you can use it to go home."

The bottom is Wenren Qi, the head disciple of the world's greatest sect. The top is the son of an old friend of his.

Cen Moyu is now a fairy pitta, so there's no way he can pass the entrance test for a cultivation sect.

He has to find another way, becoming the Qingheng Sect's closing disciple. As in, the disciple who closes the gate.

At Qingheng Sect, everyone, regardless of cultivation level, has to clock in at the mountain gate.

Over a hundred years, Cen Moyu goes from being the closing disciple to the head closing disciple, but his mission progress remains at zero.

System: "Your progress is at zero! You're the worst group I've ever had!"

Cen Moyu: "Sorry. I was already a zero to begin with."

Just as the System is about to give up, a plot point arrives!

It wakes Cen Moyu, who keeps a healthy sleep schedule.

"Hurry, hurry! The bottom failed his tribulation. Gear up and take him to the top's cave abode."

The gear is Cen Moyu himself.

This is Cen Moyu's first time being a bird-man, so he can't fly well. On a rainy night, he flaps about, gets lost on the way to the cave abode, and is attacked by a python.

He cries and sobs, not realizing the protagonist has woken up.

But then he goes berserk.

Cen Moyu: "Don't come any closer! We're both zeros, no... don't..."

System: It's all gone wrong! Everything's gone wrong!

Wenren Qi was a genius widely praised throughout the cultivation world. As his elders had hoped, he became famous at a young age and was dazzlingly talented.

Even a genius like him couldn't escape the pressure to marry. His elders started urging him at a hundred and kept at it until he was five hundred, afraid that if he reached a thousand without experiencing the tribulation of humanity, he'd get stuck on the road to ascension.

As it turned out, his elders were right.

He failed his tribulation again. In the torrential rain, he should have plunged into the abyss, but instead he landed in something soft... feathers?

The creature carrying him wasn't a fledgling, but it flew so badly that it seemed to be trying to take him to someone's cave abode.

Wenren Qi hid his presence, feigning unconsciousness. He wanted to find out what kind of demon creature this was, so clumsy that it cried at the sight of a young snake, without even realizing it was in heat.

The cultivator, who should have been indifferent, had become disoriented due to a crack in his soul caused by his failed ascension.

In a daze, Wenren Qi thought he'd seen this little demon before.

By the time he woke up, the creature was gone.

.

The Qingheng Sect's closing disciple quit.

An elder said, "I heard that child's wife is about to give birth, so he had no choice but to go home."

The sect leader could barely hide his agitation and nearly dropped his teacup. "He's married?"

The elder replied, "He already has a child, so of course he's married."

Cen Moyu, inexperienced at laying his first egg, asked the System with a miserable look:

"Do you know how to raise a bird?"

System: "Just give the egg to Wenren Qi! Then we can still work together on our grand plan!"

■ Enters premium serialization on Thursday, February 5~

■ Egg-laying still counts as childbirth; romance is the focus, raising the child is secondary.

■ The bottom had a terrible ex in his original world; he's still a virgin; the bottom is very, very weak.

■ The top is a fragment of the System and can disguise himself as other identities.

Theme: Great courage can appear timid, and life goes on without end.
