I Became a Haunted House Sleep Tester, and Now the Evil Ghost Wants to Call the Cops

Tang Li, who earned countless haters for putting down her teammates and obsessively using couple-pairing hype to mooch off their popularity, left the entertainment industry.

As her haters celebrated, she switched careers and became a haunted-house sleep tester.

But viewers who flocked to her livestream discovered that the house was the site of a massacre three months ago. The bloodstained bedding hadn't even been changed. They waited for Tang Li to meet a grisly end.

As a firm materialist, Tang Li could only sneer inwardly.

Blood on the pillow? No problem. Toss it in the washing machine and it'll come out clean!

Why was the washing machine screaming?

After checking it out, Tang Li said firmly, "No wonder this Ximenzi washing machine is no good. You'd never have a problem like this with the Little X Goose washing machine I endorse. Three, two, one, click the link."

Just as Tang Li's new career testing haunted houses was making her famous all over again, the top-tier star who had cut ties with her to avoid controversy added her on WeChat again, saying he was willing to work with her and hype them as a couple.

Tang Li, who had once been cursed out by his fans, sent him another haunted-house address. The top-tier star arrived full of confidence and arranged for reporters to take pictures. The whole couple-hype package was ready to go.

The top-tier star's fans cursed her out: You can't teach an old dog new tricks. Tang Li, will you die if you don't throw yourself at him for one day?

The next day, a video of the top-tier star terrified out of his wits by the haunted house, clinging to Tang Li's leg and crying for Big Sister not to leave, shot to the top of the trending searches and went viral.

Netizens slowly typed out a row of question marks: Tang Li throwing herself at the top-tier star? Isn't it the other way around?

When Tang Li first became a haunted-house sleep tester, her fans tossed and turned, afraid their beloved star would suffer.

But then they saw evil spirits sent into washing machines and ghosts stuck inside televisions, unable to get in or out. All the fans couldn't help feeling sorry for the ghosts. It was their bad luck to run into Big Sister!

Netizens wanted to call the authorities for the poor, helpless, pitiful ghosts: Can somebody do something? Someone's abusing ghosts here!

Tang Li looked like she was the only sober person in a room full of drunks. "I told you there's no such thing as ghosts! It's all just tricks by the production crew. Nobody is allowed to take this new job away from me!"
