My Promise, His Law

[Short pre-order, following The Immortal Lord~]

A possessive, jealous husband-type top x a naturally flirtatious fox-like bottom. Best friends to lovers.

Ji Lin and Jing Yueyun met six years ago, back when they were handsome young men in their prime. They were such good friends that even their playful bickering in the group chat got called "the little couple bullying their friends on a daily basis."

They both believed they could be "best friends forever." But after a get-together the night Ji Lin returned to the country, their relationship unexpectedly leveled up to "bros with benefits."

Ji Lin lay sprawled on the bed, weak and breathless. "You were faking being drunk. What man gets drunk and can still do that?"

Jing Yueyun rubbed his lower back and shot back, "Quit pretending you have amnesia. Who started it last night?"

After some bickering, they tacitly agreed to put it behind them.

It was the first time for both of them, anyway, so neither had taken advantage of the other.

But Ji Lin soon discovered something terrifying:

He had awakened his fox bloodline!

Ji Lin: There's something I'd really like to say to that ancestor of mine ▼皿▼#

Jing Yueyun, furious, hauled Ji Lin home from a famous bar for picking people up.

Ji Lin: "I have a perfectly good reason."

Jing Yueyun: "If you can't convince me, we're done."

Ji Lin: "Actually, I'm a legendary fox spirit."

Jing Yueyun: "..."

So Ji Lin put on a transformation show, turning into a big fluffy fox and shattering Jing Yueyun's entire worldview.

Ji Lin: "I don't have enough energy to maintain my human form right now."

Ji Lin: "You know the shortcut to a fox spirit's cultivation."

Ji Lin: "But after spending a few nights at the bar, I realized I still like looking at you best."

Ji Lin: "Brother Yueyun, my best friend, could you make a little sacrifice so I can stay human?"

Ji Lin: "Don't worry. We'll do it with our bodies, not our hearts."

Jing Yueyun: "..."

Jing Yueyun: "Heh."
