A Charlatan? You Make Your Own Identity

The System's energy malfunctioned and vanished during a vacation, forcing an emergency landing in an unfamiliar alternate ancient dynasty. He woke up covered in injuries, lying in the mountains and nearly getting eaten by a wild boar. Which was more devastating: all that, or waking up in the body of a ger?

Chen Mu said that landing in an ancient rural village was the most devastating part!

More importantly, this body was unbelievably delicate, like a porcelain doll that would shatter at the slightest touch (T_T).

Did he have any chance of surviving in these circumstances?

Shen Yan was the famous child prodigy of Hexi Village. He passed the first level of the imperial examinations at just nine years old, and everyone said his father would enjoy a life of ease in the future.

But fate had other plans. After bringing in the wheat harvest, his father died right there in the fields.

Shen Yan had just finished arranging his father's funeral and was about to return to his teacher when someone suddenly appeared, claiming to be a relative on his mother's side who had come from another prefecture to seek refuge with his family.

Shen Yan: ...

Seek refuge with whom?

My family?

Dressed in silk, seeking refuge with my family?

Someone who has never lifted a finger to do housework, seeking refuge with my family?

My family, where it's just me?

No matter what, Shen Yan still accepted this relative.

Later, Shen Yan was exceptionally glad that on a whim, he had accepted Chen Mu.
