Zhao Chengzhen always thought Kong Que was like a fox. Even though he looked at her innocently and called her “Senior” every other sentence, he still seemed rather sly.
While recovering from his injuries over the next few months, Kong Que was so bored that he chatted with the disciples of the neighboring sects every day.
Every word he said reached her consciousness.
“The weather's lovely today. Perfect for lying around and sunbathing.”
“I plan to sneak down the mountain tonight and buy some wine. Don't tell Senior. I'll share it with you when I get back.”
Zhao Chengzhen kept an eye on him at all times. If she ever caught him harboring improper intentions that threatened the sect, she'd take care of him immediately.
But after monitoring him for so long, the most rebellious thing he'd said was that he wanted to sneak down the mountain for wine.
But then the whole thing seemed to go more and more off track?
“What kind of flowers does Senior like?”
“How often does Senior visit the back mountain?”
“Does Senior... have someone she likes?”
