Her pirate life was wonderful, with a new adventure every day. The only exception was the occasional feeling of being watched, until she saw herself reflected in a pane of glass.
The ticking of the clock grew clearer and clearer. The snake venom, clinging to her like a bone-deep curse, and the approaching deadline together pronounced her death and rebirth.

When she grew up, she and her childhood friend set out on a pirate life, determined to become the freest people on the sea. Then, one day, she activated an alchemical creation, and saw herself.
The clock's ticking grew more chaotic. Before everything ended, Evelyn had to bring this cycle to a close.
