Set in a fictional world unrelated to reality. Please don't draw parallels with real life.
Cordis transmigrated to the interstellar era and became a retired military male insect who had left the service due to injury.
But that wasn't the worst of it. The worst part was waking up in a hospital, where the only thing he could eat every day was nutrition paste with a lethal taste.
He thought things would get better once he left the hospital and entered this new world. But it turned out that life for the lower classes of the insect race was a culinary wasteland. Even the tastiest canned food was worse than cat food.
Fortunately, he soon discovered a root vegetable resembling a potato on the remote planet where he lived.
Starting from scratch with "potatoes," Cordis pushed a cart around the residential district selling fries, easily winning over a crowd of retired military males who had never tasted real good food.
His new friends lent a hand, and his former legion reached out with an offer to rehire him as the cafeteria's head chef, at a high monthly salary.
With a high income as an incentive and a powerful backer coming to him, Cordis immediately expanded his goal of opening a shop and making money in this new world.
Drawing on the culinary heritage of a civilization that stood on the shoulders of giants, Cordis turned all kinds of new ingredients into delicious dishes. But what truly helped him establish himself in this world... was turning his cooking skills toward the star beasts that had battled the insect race for thousands of years.
Star beasts were devastatingly destructive. The insect race spent enormous manpower and starcoins dealing with them, yet the returns on salvaging them were negative year after year. Once Cordis made them into ingredients, he developed all kinds of ways to cook them. The frying, grilling, braising, stewing, and deep-frying of Chinese cuisine turned enemies into delicacies.
In just a few years, Cordis went from a retired military male with few assets to an Imperial honorary general with friends, a house, a shop, a planet, and a partner. With food, he carved out a perfect new life for himself in this new world.
Flapair never imagined he would meet someone he loved. A military male's whole life was war: fight until he could fight no longer, then sacrifice himself for the insect race.
A retired military male who had gained cooking skills after being injured confessed that he liked him at their very first meeting. What did that kind of liking... mean?
In the course of tasting good food together again and again and getting to know him, the general who was the unattainable flower in the eyes of other insects discovered a new ability within himself: the ability to love.
Superb human retired military chef VS military male general, exceptional in both strategy and combat
Reading guide:
1. The couple are both males of the insect race. One-on-one, happy ending, with a small amount of switching between roles. The romance comes later in the story.
2. The main story is mostly slice-of-life and food. There aren't many schemes or conspiracies. It's a cozy, flowing story about starting over in a new world.
3. Friendly discussion welcome!
Theme: Fulfillment of the spirit and the stomach are both essential
I don't understand a bit. The next time it was Frapaire who took the lead and said whether he was attacking or navel orange.
I hope the next time we meet will be sooner [Let me be healthy]
🎆🎆🎆 Wow, we finally meet to commemorate this historic moment. Will there be a sixth sense, and the two of them will know what is going on at once [Let me be healthy] 🎆 🎆 🎆
Haha, this time the alliance is Blue Star, Cordis is going to meet people from his "hometown"
Are there only four? Then continue to write a new article [Cat Head]
😭 Don't finish it so quickly~! More extras, hurry up and cook ~ there's no food left
After watching it for the first time, I rushed to watch it for the second time 🤩 [Cat Head]
Oh, look forward to it when it gets updated!
No more extras? Waiting to see the previously proposed extra episode [Make Me Well]
There's nothing to write in the next chapter. Why is it locked? It's really overkill.
