"Since this is the age when young hearts first fall in love, why not love someone up among the clouds?"

The last time they met during their school days was on the day they returned to school to fill out their college applications after the university entrance exam.
He politely, distantly asked her for a tissue to wipe the thick dust from a monitor. She handed it over without much expression.
She watched the scattered dust settle over a youth in which nothing had gone right,
burying, too, an unspoken crush no one knew about.
They went to universities at opposite ends of the country.

Years later, Shu Cunyi became a guide at a private garden. That day, she led a group of visitors around as usual.
She told them that any one of the collections in this Suzhou-style building was worth enough to buy an apartment in Beijing, Shanghai, or Guangzhou. Out of curiosity, a visitor asked who owned it. Taking advantage of her position, she said the name she had repeated countless times in her heart:
"Yin Huaizhou. I hear he lives in North City now."
Her expression remained calm. She did not notice the car window lowering in a corner of the courtyard, or the man turning slightly to listen as she spoke his name.
In the maze of memory, a strand of a young girl's hair had once brushed the fingertips holding his pen, soothing his numb nerves for a brief moment.
Just like the stirring of his heart at that moment, it had been so light.
So light that, in the time it took to look up and down, they had parted for years.
-
She had thought she would live out her life in silence.
Yet a leaf from her youth fell into her palm.
They met again at his garden, Zhou Yuan.
