After Kuroo's enthusiastic invitation (or rather, coercion), Nohara Shinnosuke agreed to visit Nekoma's volleyball club.
But Shinnosuke had his principles!
If he visited the club and found that Nekoma's volleyball team had neither a mature, beautiful woman coach nor a charming female manager...
He would turn right around and leave!
The first person Shin-chan saw when he stepped into the gym was Coach Nekomata, with his head of white hair.
Shin-chan: This is way too mature for a sixteen-year-old boy like me! Besides, he's a man, isn't he?
Then what about the manager...
City boy Yamamoto said with a straightforward look, "Manager? What manager?"
"Not only are there no mature ladies, there's not even a manager!"
Shin-chan was terribly disappointed.
He turned on his heel and made a run for it.
What a hellish temple full of monks! He was never coming back!
A sly black cat slung an arm around Shinnosuke's shoulders. "Oh, don't say that. Our team does have an acting manager."
Nekoma's acting manager?
Shinnosuke spotted a familiar face: that dark blue fringe sticking up! That's right!
In the blink of an eye, Shinnosuke blew into the acting manager's ear.
Caught completely off guard, the acting manager nearly went limp.
The black cat's voice chimed in at just the right moment. "So, about joining the team..."
Shin-chan grinned and held out his hand.
"Get me a pen. I want two copies of the membership form!"
And so, in this world, the only one who got hurt was acting manager Kazama.
His eyes blazed. "Shinnosuke, don't blow in my ear!"

Note:
Shin-chan likes looking at pretty older women. His dirty jokes are just for fun, and he flirts with people regardless of gender, but he's always loved Kazama.
Kazama does go on group dates with female classmates early in the story, but all those romantic prospects will be interrupted. Read with caution if that bothers you!
