A Country-Bumpkin College Student Livestreams Farming and Raising Kids in Ancient Times

Xiang Shang, the agricultural university's jinx, has a knack for killing pigs he raises and withering crops he plants. One day, while spraying pesticides on an experimental plot, he gets pesticide poisoning and ends up in ancient times, where the food options are limited.

His beloved advisor and fellow students cry so hard at his funeral that they nearly faint. They think, Thank goodness, the bane of our agricultural college has finally gone. At least we don't have to worry about him getting out into the world and bringing disaster to farmers.

But before the advisor and students can even catch their breath, a livestream screen appears before them, visible only to them. Their jinx of a junior, who had already been burned to ashes, appears on the screen. Xiang Shang is dressed in patched-up short clothes, carrying a rusty hoe, and weeding a cornfield with one, two, three, four, five children.

The students' scalps tingle, and their elderly advisor nearly has a heart attack from nerves. They can think of only one thing: Don't go ruin that healthy-looking cornfield, or those five kids are definitely going to starve.

But Xiang Shang gives the cornfield a wicked smile, rolls up his sleeves, and gets to work. A few days later, the cornfield is reduced to bare stalks. Xiang Shang sits on the field ridge with the five kids, waiting to starve to death.

Even if he's hopeless, he's still their own flesh and blood. His advisor gives the senior students a strict order: "You lot, take shifts around the clock. Don't even blink. Teach the youngest how to farm, hands-on!"
