In remote Huanhua County, the previous magistrate dies under mysterious circumstances. Before long, a new magistrate takes office.
When constable Qi Xiaotong sees his coworkers secretly giving the new magistrate a hard time, she takes pity on him and lends him a hand.
She never expects the new magistrate to start looking at her differently after that.
Qi Xiaotong: Could he have figured out that I’m a woman disguised as a man?! And I swear, I didn’t help him just because he’s handsome.
As the mystery surrounding the previous magistrate’s death is gradually unraveled, Qi Xiaotong’s identity is also in danger of being exposed.
Then she discovers that the new magistrate and the brother and sister she once rescued on a whim, who are supposedly bandits, are all far from ordinary.
How can little Huanhua County be full of hidden talents!
Oh, turns out I’m not ordinary either. Well, that’s all right, then.
