[Socially anxious witch vs. helpful young man]
Mirei lived alone and liked mixing up sweet drinks in her cauldron whenever she had nothing to do. For reasons she couldn’t explain, she brought home a stuffed goose someone had left by the roadside.
She washed it clean, placed it by her bed, and practiced talking to it whenever she had a chance.
Then one day, she noticed that her broom seemed to have moved, and the ingredients and potions on her desk had been neatly arranged while she was out.
She messed up the desk again and pretended to leave. Then she discovered that her little toy had turned into a handsome man. He had tied on an apron and was cleaning with her broom.
Mirei: ?!!

Mirei stared at the toy that had somehow come to life and tossed him into the pot. A creature she didn’t know the nature of, but that knew too many of her secrets, would be perfect for making potions.
She looked down.
!!!
She smacked the rim of the pot with her stirring stick.
Stop (smack) eating (smack) the potatoes (smack) I’m stewing (smack) all the time (smack)!

Shi Yue didn’t know what had gotten into him lately. Every night, he would transmigrate into the body of a toy goose someone had abandoned by the roadside.
Then one day, a little girl in a strange black robe brought him home.
The girl lived in a secluded little house, without anyone to talk to. Every day, she just stayed by her big pot.
Shi Yue, who always made a point of being generous even when handing roasted sweet potatoes to the doorman:
Why doesn’t this girl get out and explore the world?
This won’t do.
He’d have to think of something.
