Ah! What a Twisted Fate

To ascend to immortality as soon as possible, the fox spirit Xinyue helps immortals who owe love debts reincarnate in the mortal realm to repay them. Her previous missions were all completed successfully.

When a new mission begins, she quickly figures out the identities involved: the son of the Xie family, a third-rank assistant minister, and a fatherless orphan girl.

This love debt should be easy to settle. All she needs is to make the immortal's reincarnation fall out with his family for the woman he loves.

After possessing a maid in the Xie household, Xinyue starts making plans:

Step one: Become a maid serving the young master.

"Auntie, I want this maid to play with me," says the cousin visiting the Xie residence, barging into the plan.

Six-year-old maid Xinyue quietly crosses out step one.

Step two: Become a maid serving the young master.

"Auntie, just let this maid serve me instead," says the cousin visiting the Xie residence, barging into the plan.

Sixteen-year-old maid Xinyue grits her teeth and crosses out step two.

Step three: Get the young master to declare in front of Madam that he has someone he loves.

"Auntie, I'm in love with her. Please give Xinyue to me!" says the cousin, who has come to study at the Xie residence, barging into the plan.

Madam, furious, drives Xinyue out of the residence. She swings her arm in a full circle and knocks the cousin, who rushed over in the dead of night, unconscious with one punch.

"Are you insane? Are you insane?" Xinyue stomps around in anger. "I'll beat you up every time I see you from now on!"
