[Final Fantasy VII] The End of the Monsters

Clair was steeped in a nutrient tank for five years before birth, losing her claim to being human long before she could even be born. After years of observation and research as an adult, she reached a conclusion: her family bloodline came with a hereditary disorder.

Its symptoms included an ancestral mother complex accompanied by an older-brother complex. If they gave in to their genes' calling, they might even cry out a few times for a longed-for "reunion" after death.

As a doctor, she believed that if it was an illness, it could be treated. No big deal.

Until her brother, having suddenly lost his mind, took Jenova's head and burned down her childhood home.

That was when it clicked: he'd accepted an alien as his mother.

Five years later, Leora decided to return the favor. Carrying gifts, she and her friends set off for the Northern Crater to visit Jenova's home.
