All Is Well Under Heaven

Du He was a transmigrator from the twenty-first century. Her cousin, Du Ziying, transmigrated with her. Both were modern college students, but a sightseeing trip sent them to an ancient feudal dynasty in an alternate world, where they became members of the imperial family.

But the two of them disagreed about how to enjoy their wealthy life in ancient times.

Du Ziying began vying with her siblings in the inner residence, all for the chance to become a noble consort.

Du He chose another path, one far more dangerous, but righteous.

"Your love and comfort are built on the blood and flesh of ordinary people. The landowning nobles pay taxes to the emperor every year. That's protection money. They take your flesh and blood, then look down on you. The emperor is the biggest landlord of all! My dream is to return the land to you, so the people can govern themselves. No one will be a slave anymore. No one is born a slave!"

As Du He gave her speech in a tavern, she was met with cheers from many ordinary people.
